It covers the principles, components, maintenance procedures, and safe operational practices necessary for effective firefighting readiness on board ships.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the trainee should be able to:
- Identify the components, functions, and safe use of breathing apparatus and compressor
- Conduct inspections, cleaning, disinfection, and basic maintenance of breathing apparatus and related equipment.
- Operate and maintain portable and fixed firefighting systems, fire hoses, and
- Perform accurate recordkeeping and comply with reporting requirements for audits and legal purposes.
