Medical First Aid
This Medical First Aid (MEFA) course covers the mandatory competences and the required knowledge, understanding and proficiencies prescribed in Section A-VI/4, Table A-VI/4-1of STCW Code.
Learning Outcomes
To meet the minimum standard of competence for all trainees assigned to shipboard duties as required in Section A-VI/4 of the STCW Code as amended, this course is designed to enable the trainees to successfully demonstrate the competence on Medical First Aid.
Specifically, at the end of the course the trainee must be able to apply immediate first aid in the event of accident or illness on board.
