Featured in the latest issue of the COMPASS Gazette, COMPASS Iloilo successfully conducted its first Basic Training for Service on Ships Subject to the IGF Code from May 13 to 16, 2026, strengthening access to specialized, industry-relevant training for seafarers in the Panay region.

Through instructor-led sessions, practical activities, and realistic training scenarios, the course supports the growing need for safety awareness, emergency response competence, and readiness for ships using gases or other low-flashpoint fuels.

With this pilot class, COMPASS Iloilo continues to help bring globally aligned maritime training closer to Filipino seafarers.
